Black Mental Wellness Workshops & Program

This discussion will be grounded in culturally responsive frameworks and real-world clinical experiences. This training provides practical tools to support therapist well-being, increase sustainability in practice, and promote healing not only for clients, but for the clinicians who serve them. Participants will leave equipped with strategies to honor their own well-being while continuing to show up for their communities with intention and care.

Learning objectives: 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify at least three unique stressors impacting Black mental health professionals.

  2. Explain the impact of burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma on clinical effectiveness and personal well-being.

  3. Apply at least two culturally responsive self-care and/or regulation strategies that support emotional sustainability.

  4. Develop a personalized wellness plan that promotes effective coping and stress management skills.

 

Continuing Education is Available!

1.0 hours of continuing education is available. Black Mental Wellness is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Black Mental Wellness maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
